I’m passionate about creating accessible human-centered design that solves real problems, and love collaborating closely with other designers, researchers, developers and product managers.

Outside of work, I spend my time exploring new crafts, finding creative ways to live more sustainably, and worrying that my bio sounds too clichéd.

My Experience

Sharesies, Wellington NZ (2020 - 2022)

Most recently, I have been working as a senior product designer in the Investing Experience team at Sharesies, a wealth development platform with the mission to give someone with $5 the same money opportunity as someone with $5 million.

I’ve been involved in research and design on the Sharesies app, used by over 500,000 investors across New Zealand and Australia.

Trade Me, Wellington NZ (2016 - 2020)

Over my four years at Trade Me I worked as a designer in both marketing automation and product teams.

From 2018, I worked as a product designer in the team responsible for growing and maintaining Trade Me’s design system, used by over 100 people in product teams daily to build the new-look responsive Trade Me site.

I also had the opportunity to develop my product design skills working on Trade Me’s search functionality, including location based search on iOS and Android.

DesignGel, Wellington NZ (2014 – 2016)

After completing university I took on the role of Co-director of DesignGel, a social enterprise created to help young designers get a head start in the industry by providing affordable branding and web design services for local businesses and organisations.

As my first job in the design field after graduating from Massey University, my co-director and myself learnt to run a business as we went, with shared responsibilities of day-to-day operations, managing the accounts and liaising with designers and clients.

As well as mentoring student and graduate designers completing briefs, we also got stuck in on design work. Our projects spanned branding, photography and illustration, designing and building sites for our clients, and printed publications and exhibitions.
